Ellie Michaelidou joined PHC TSANGARIDES LLC in 2011 as a trainee. After completing her vocational training, she practised in the litigation and corporate teams of the firm and in 2015 she was made Partner.

Ellie has extensive experience in corporate and commercial litigation, including but not limited to disputes between directors, oppression of minority claims and breaches of directors duties. She has represented clients before the District Courts and the Supreme Court for claims valued at millions. Furthermore, she represents clients before the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO)   and the Court of Justice of the European Union for intellectual property rights’ challenges and infringements. She has also dealt with claims before the Administrative Court challenging administrative decisions of various government departments, including tax, land, pensions and so on.

Ellie also has experience in negotiating and drafting commercial contracts involving corporate restructuring, taxation and competition law issues, escrow agreements, long lease agreements as well as share purchase agreements and acquisitions. She was involved in numerous transactions involving international parties and companies which were valued at millions. Finally, Ellie has provided advice on solar and wind energy projects including licensing, compliance and regulatory matters.
